National Carrier "Maldivian" to Begin Direct Flights to Colombo

The National Carrier of Maldives "Maldivian", has received official permission to begin direct flights to Colombo Airport Ratmalana in Sri Lanka.

This approval comes after a successful series of discussions between the two neighbors and came to conclusion during Maldivian Minister of Tourism, Mr. Moosa Zameer’s visit to Sri Lanka where he met the Sri Lankan Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation, Mr. Nimal Siripala de Silva. Maldives and Sri Lanka have agreed to collaborate in commencing the flights of Maldivian at the earliest.

Hon Minister Moosa Zameer has stated that direct flights to Colombo Airport Ratmalana, which is conveniently located in Colombo, will produce even more ease of travel for Maldivians. While having Sri Lankan , Emirates and other airlines flying to Colombo daily from Male'. This new edition to Ratmalana airport will ease the travelers who visits Sri Lanka for medicals, holidays and other purposes.
